What is your fee structure?

Regarding Insurance benefit recovery cases, our contingent Attorney fee is 10% of recovery of insurance benefits on insurance benefit recovery cases.  Many attorneys typically charge 30%-40%.  Law firm may retain sums for any court awarded attorney fees.  Lawsuits for improper insurer are handled differently and fees differ for these different type of suits.

What if there is no additional recovery?

We do not get paid if we do not recover.

What is the time limit to file a lawsuit?

 Sometimes up to 5 years.

What if I have already received a check?

You may still be able to recover additional benefits. It may even be possible to recover even if you have already signed a release.

If I file a claim will my premium go up?

While everyone’s rates have gone up, an insurance company is simply not allowed to selectively choose to increase your individual rates because you file a claim related to a natural disaster.

If I file a claim will my policy get cancelled?

A property insurance company is not allowed to selectively cancel your individual policy due to a natural disaster claim, especially while your claim is pending.

What about mold?

Many property insurance policies provide coverage for mold, however few insurance companies ever test for mold.
